Surgient, Inc. confirms that we will support customers running the Surgient Virtual Automation Platform™ components on Surgient-supported operating systems in a VMware virtual machine environment.
Surgient, Inc. will provide unqualified support for Surgient’s platform server, application server, and database server running in a VMware virtual environment on Surgient-supported operating systems and configured with the specified requirements outlined in the Surgient Virtual Automation Platform™ Installation and Configuration Guide without initially requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Surgient Platform components are expected to function and perform properly in a VMware virtual environment if these guidelines are followed and may need to be modified based on customer specific usage and performance requirements. Should Surgient suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an incident; the customer will be required to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue.
In addition, the Surgient Platform extends the management and automation of VMware Virtual Infrastructure servers running ESX and ESXi.
